On Wednesday 24 May, we participated in the Conference on management and resilience of electrical infrastructure for new mobility in cities organized by the College of Industrial Engineers of Catalonia.
Cities are points of concentration of activity and human relationships and, although today digitalization opens and facilitates new doors of relationship, cities must be able to guarantee mobility that adapts to the new situations of the 21st century. The need to decarbonize cities is critical because urban heat islands, which are mainly caused by the dissipation of heat engines and heating systems, make urban warming more noticeable.
For all this, at MEC we defend electric and shared mobility as a viable solution to decarbonise cities, reduce global warming and improve air quality.
In these days we were able to share a table with experts from the companies, Sumosu, Endesa, Schneider Electric, Circutor and Wallbox; to discuss the challenges for urban electrical networks.
